This is a courtesy translation. The document is drawn up under the law of the Russian Federation, and in case of any discrepancy the Russian version prevails.

1. Who processes the data

The personal data operator is Sergei Rinatovich Gilmutdinov, a natural person (the “Operator”). You can contact the Operator at the address given in section 10.

This Policy sets out how personal data of visitors to besthardway.tech (the “Site”) is processed and is drawn up in accordance with Federal Law No. 152-FZ of 27 July 2006 “On Personal Data”.

2. What data is processed

The Operator does not ask visitors for a name, phone number, email address or anything else — the Site has no sign-up, contact or payment forms. Only data sent by the browser is processed:

• Through Yandex Metrica: IP address, cookies holding a random visitor identifier (_ym_uid, _ym_d, _ym_isad and other technical Metrica cookies), browser and operating system type and version, screen resolution, language, referring page address, pages viewed, visit time and actions on the page (clicks, scrolling).
• In web server logs: date and time of the request, IP address, request method and path, response code, bytes transferred, browser details.

Session recording (“Webvisor”) is switched off on the Site: page content and visitor actions inside the interface are neither recorded nor transmitted.

3. What data is not processed

The metadata cleaning service runs entirely in the visitor's browser in JavaScript. The files a visitor selects for processing, and the details extracted from them (including capture coordinates, camera model and file names), are not transmitted to the Operator or to third parties and are not stored on the server. Interface settings are kept in the visitor's local browser storage and are not available to the Operator.

4. Purposes of processing

• collecting anonymised traffic statistics and assessing interface usability;
• keeping the Site operational, diagnosing failures and protecting against malicious traffic (server logs).

The data is not used for advertising, profiling or automated decision-making, and is not sold.

5. Legal basis

Statistics data is processed with the visitor's consent (clause 1, part 1, article 6 of Federal Law No. 152-FZ). Consent is given by pressing “Accept” in the cookie notice. Until consent is given the statistics counter is not loaded and no cookies are set.

Data in the web server logs is processed on the basis of clause 5, part 1, article 6 of the same law: it is necessary to provide the service the visitor requested, namely to deliver the Site's pages.

6. Who the data is shared with

Collection and processing of statistics is entrusted to Yandex LLC (16 Lva Tolstogo St., Moscow, 119021, Russia) under part 3, article 6 of Federal Law No. 152-FZ, on the terms Yandex publishes for the Yandex Metrica service. The data is not shared with anyone else except where the law directly requires it.

No cross-border transfer of personal data takes place: the servers of Yandex Metrica and of the Site are located in the Russian Federation.

7. Retention periods

• statistics data is retained in Yandex Metrica for the period set by that service's rules;
• web server logs are kept for no longer than 30 days and are then deleted automatically;
• the consent flag is kept in the visitor's browser until site data is cleared.

8. Visitor rights

A visitor may obtain information about the processing of their personal data, request its correction, blocking or deletion, and withdraw consent. Send a request to the address in section 10; the reply is sent within 30 days.

A visitor may also complain to Roskomnadzor or go to court.

9. How to opt out of statistics

• press “Decline” in the cookie notice: the counter will not load and cookies it had set earlier are deleted;
• a decision made earlier can be changed at any time through the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of any page;
• you can additionally block cookies in your browser settings or use a tracker blocker.

Declining statistics does not limit the service: metadata cleaning remains fully available.
